- Led cost optimization efforts that reduced UPMCE’s monthly AWS bill by over $10,000.
- Enhanced CloudWatch to be cost-effective (log retention policies, removed detailed monitoring).
- Created several python scripts to identify unused resources in the AWS platform (ALBs, EBS, etc).
- Orchestrated numerous changes to improve the security posture of the AWS platform.
- Developed a lambda that checks against several internal security standards (Log Bucket Exists).
- Improved the AWS SecurityHub score 40% by remediating various CIS findings (Ex: MFA enabled).
- Automated the creation of 15 standard alarms that send alerts to the central Jira ticketing queue.
- Architected and administered an AWS platform of over 125+ accounts for a variety of internal applications along with third party portfolio companies.
- Created several standardized CloudFormation stacks / Terraform modules for the AWS platform.
